What do representatives of the Gothic subculture wearing and look like?

Mopey и Perky Goth
These two types of goths cause frequent controversy, but their existence is an objective reality. Roughly exaggerating, we can say that these are two radically opposite perceptions of goth culture. Mopey Goths name those who fit most of the descriptions from paragraph 4.2, these are individuals who are constantly depressed, mostly withdrawn, they are said to "take life too seriously", although many believe that Mopey Goths are 100% Goths and that they represent the very essence of the subculture. Perky Goths (often write PerkyGoff) name those who are more relaxed about gothic, they like to hang out in clubs (naturally gothic) and spend time as they like, depression is not for them, they consider Mopey Goths to be introverted bores. It may seem strange, but most Goths in the world are Perky Goths, yet the state of constant depression and total isolation is a rare thing. There is a well-known opposition between these two views on life, but in reality they differ only in the seriousness of the attitude towards the goth subculture - for Mopey Goths goth subculture and world view - fetish, they take them very seriously, even unnecessarily seriously, on the other hand, Perky Goths cannot be considered fake goths (still the vast majority of them), and they no doubt live in the same subculture, they just take it a little less seriously.
Antiquity Goth, Renaissance Goth, Romantic Goth, Victorian Goth. Under the term Antiquity Goths refer to the Goths who prefer the style of a particular era in their image - in general, this is one of the most spectacular and beautiful Gothic styles. This style does not require the obligatory use of black in clothes, and the most romanticized individuals give preference to this style. Often the costumes are as close as possible to the costumes of different eras, but this is not necessary - there are also more gloomy representatives of this style, who prefer black, but whose clothes are still closest to historical.

Wear - Girls: corsets, lace dresses (often inspired by Victorian, Renaissance, etc.), raincoats, sweatshirts with flounces, long lace skirts. The most commonly used fabrics are velvet, brocade, silk, lace.
Wear - Boys: camisoles, white lace shirts (with frills and ruffles on the sleeves), pantaloons, raincoats, trousers (often leather or vinyl - oddly enough). The most commonly used fabrics are velvet, brocade, silk, lace.
Footwear: Gothic pointed boots or boots.
Jewelry: no excesses such as collars are used - mostly designer silver jewelry (again often being copies of original medieval jewelry) tiaras, rings, necklaces. Products from silver and semi-precious black stones, sometimes products from pearls.
Hairstyle - Girls: Hair either in a ponytail or intricately styled (Victorian, Renaissance), natural colors.
Hairstyle - Boys: long hair either loose or gathered in a ponytail, natural colors (black, white), sometimes shaved temples and hair combed to one side.
Accessories: gloves, fans, small handbags.
Make-up: for the most part minimal - aimed at emphasizing facial features, emphasizing superciliary arches.

Androgyn Goth
Androgynous goths are not a specific type of image, but rather a general aesthetic of certain individuals, androgyny implies asexuality, but not asexuality, most androgynous male and female goths look so that it is difficult to understand which gender is in front of us, males often wear skirts (sometimes found in male Goths and other styles) often gravitate towards a fetish aesthetic.

Clothing - Girls & Boys: skirts (both long and short), mesh sweaters, various latex and vinyl clothing - pants, tops, bondages, corsets.
Shoes: combat boots or fetish shoes (high heels, boots with clasps).
Jewelry: silver jewelry, pendants, rings, bracelets, chains, earrings, naturally ankhs.
Hairstyle - Girls & Boys: variable, but mostly asexual, most often long straight hair or an explosion at a pasta factory
Accessories: from the field of fetish aesthetics - studded collars, bondages.
Make-up: circled eyes, lips, all quite spectacular and aimed at hiding the gender of the individual.

Corporate Slave Goth
A product of the 90s - goths are slaves of corporations, unfortunate goths working in large companies that have a dress code - they are required to dress according to certain rules - there are many sites on the Internet for them with useful tips on how to match the office style and at the same time remain gothic.

Clothing - Girls: strict long black dresses (in the spirit of Morticia Addams), black long skirts combined with a white lace shirt.
Clothing - Boys: Black suit, there's nothing to come up with - they almost can't get out...
Shoes: normal shoes.
Hairstyle - Girls & Boys: what the style of their company allows, the hair is only natural colors.
Jewelry: minimal, non-irritating to management and customers, bangles, rings.
Accessories: diplomat
Make-up: naturally none (maximum black nails and slightly lined eyes for girls).

CyberGoth, Darkwave
Goths gravitating towards cyberpunk aesthetics in the spirit of William Gibson, the appearance is a fetish goth with technogenic bells and whistles - in the form of wires, chains and rings with technological design (in the form of gears, etc.) in general, a rather gloomy cyberpunk look.

Clothing - Girls & Boys: vinyl, latex, leather - all of these materials, pants, jackets, raincoats, tops, sometimes there are products from more high-tech materials, mesh sweaters, sometimes bondages and corsets made of phosphorescent plastic, vinyl.
Shoes: Combat Boots or fetish shoes.
Hairstyle - Girls & Boys: often short (like an explosion at a pasta factory), often shaved temples (in combination with short (in the spirit of EBM aesthetics) or long hair), sometimes the head is shaved in tricky patterns, hair color or black or artificial (purple, green, red).
Jewelry: silver or metal (sometimes even plastic) rings, bracelets, chains with a man-made design.
Accessories: Studded collars (or collars with techno design) are not uncommon, heavy bracelets on the arms.
Make-up: Rigid, urban-industrial - eyeliner, black nails.

GlitterGoth, FairyGoth
A rather strange product of the gothic subculture, mainly concerning only females. Characterized by a kitsch mix of styles and colors. Initially, this was the name of the Goth girls who looked like fairies, but gradually this term acquired a slightly different meaning - now this is the name of a certain glam style.

Clothing - Girls: tops and skirts of various, for the most part not typical for ready (often pink, light green, etc.) colors, although black clothes and multi-colored tights are not uncommon.

Shoes: Combat Boots, странной расцветки (красные, с разводами, с паутинками, etc) или фетиш обувь (часто меховые ботинки).

GypsyGoth, HippieGoth
Этот стиль по большей части характерен для готов язычников, приверженцев Wicca, или для готов пожилого возраста. Одежда мешковатого вида, сложной конструкции, ткани различных цветов (например, бархат темно зеленого, темно красного и синего цвета), множество различных украшений, амулетов.

Clothing - Girls: Платья сложной конструкции, мешковатые кофты, блузы, чаще всего не черного цвета, но обычно темных оттенков различных цветов.
Clothing - Boys: Рубашки с широкими рукавами, свободные штаны.
Shoes: остроносые готические ботинки.
Прическа - Girls & Boys: свободно ниспадающие волосы естественного цвета, иногда с лентами вплетенными в волосы.
Украшения: часто не металлические, а деревянные, камни, украшения с магическими символами (знаками рун).
Аксессуары: то же что и у обычных хиппи - всякие сумочки с рюшечками.
Make-up: достаточно скромный.

FetishGoth
Готы близкие к фетиш эстетике, в одежде используются искусственные материалы - латекс, винил, искусственная кожа, реже кожа, вся одежда плотно обтягивающая, иногда используются кофты сетки, только черный цвет. Общий внешний вид характерен для посетителей фетиш клубов.

Clothing - Girls & Boys: корсеты, виниловые/латексныетопы, кофты-сетки, виниловые юбки (часто короткие или длинные узкие), обтягивающие штаны, латексные или виниловые комбинезоны.
Shoes: фетиш обувь, combat boots.
Прическа - Girls: прямые или собранные в хвост волосы, часто волосы собираются в ponytail (хвост на макушке), часто выбритые виски, черные или белые волосы.
Прическа - Boys: выбритые виски, иногда короткие волосы.
Украшения: минимальные серебряные или металлические (кольца, браслеты, цепочки).
Аксессуары: Все из области фетиш эстетики, ошейники, бондажи, наручники, цепи.
Make-up: черные губы, подведенные глаза, черные ногти.
Jeans'n'T-shirt Goth
Самый простой тип готов - так выглядят те, кто не заботится о своей внешности и по большей части не могут быть названы готами "по внешности", они ходят в обычной одежде (например, джинсы) и футболках любимых групп.
Одежда - Girls & Boys: Черные джинсы, футболка группы.
Обувь: не классифицировано. Прическа - Girls & Boys: не классифицировано.
Украшения: не классифицировано.
Аксессуары: не классифицировано.
Make-up: если и есть - то только у девушек, да и то в минимальной стадии - простая подводка глаз, крашеные губы и ногти.

Western Goth
Сложно представить связь между вестернами и готической эстетикой однако она существует в лице группы Fields of the Nephilim - их вид на обложках и в клипах и породил этот странный стиль - так выглядят по большей части фэны Fields of the Nephilim.

Clothing - Girls & Boys: "ковбойские" кожаные штаны с бахромой или джинсы, кожаные жилеты/куртки, часто футболки Fields of the Nephilim, широкополые шляпы.
Shoes: высокие или низкие чопперы, ковбойские сапоги.
Прическа - Girls & Boys: длинные волосы естественных цветов распущенные или собранные в хвост.
Украшения: много различных фенечек, по большей части серебро, металл, кожаные браслеты.
Аксессуары: хлыст и револьвер =), широкополые шляпы.
Make-up: по большей части не используется.

Tribal Goth
Вид готов близких к modern primitives эстетике. Обильный пирсинг, в tribal стиле (кольца в нос, проколотые губы, соски), одежда используется разнообразная, часто это кофты сетки или что-то из фетиш области, иногда одежда выглядит как прикид таежного шамана.

Clothing - Girls & Boys: нет определенной.
Shoes: обычно combat boots.
Прическа - Girls & Boys: чаще всего вариации на тему выбритых висков, часто встречаются волосы неестественных цветов.
Украшения: обилие тяжелых металлических или серебряных цепей (на шее, руках).
Аксессуары: обильный пирсинг, шрамы, тату, клейма.
Make-up: присутствует не всегда, но если есть, то обычно грубый.

Punk Goth, Post-Punk, Dark Punks
Готы ностальгирующие по старым добрым 80-м - изначальному стилю готов. Ирокезы, английские булавки, рваные джинсы, кожаные куртки/жилеты - все это здесь, отличаются от панков более стильным и мрачным видом, по большей части поклонники ранних готических групп и "старых времен goth".

Clothing - Girls & Boys: джинсы, рваные колготки, кожаные/джинсовые куртки/жилеты, рваные майки, часто несколько рваных колгот, кофт, футболок одетых друг на друга.
Shoes: combat boots.
Прическа - Girls & Boys: ирокезы, в крайнем случае, выбритые под ирокез виски, собранные в хвост иногда прическа вида "взрыв на макаронной фабрике". Часто встречаются волосы неестественных цветов (красные, темно зеленый, бардовый, синий).
Украшения: металлические цепи, браслеты, кольца, чаще всего грубые.
Аксессуары: булавки в качестве пирсинга, ошейники, шипованные браслеты, перчатки без пальцев.
Make-up: если и есть то грубая обводка глаз, накрашенные губы.

Vampyre Goth
Готы, тяготеющие к вампирской эстетике, они считают себя вампирами (или действительно являются ими) часто наращивают или имплантируют себе длинные клыки, иногда пользуются зубными протезами с клыками, в одежде предпочитают романтический стиль.

Clothing - Girls: корсеты, кружевные платья (часто копии платьев Викторианской Эпохи, Эпохи Ренессанса и т.д.), плащи, кофты с воланами, длинные кружевные юбки. Самый часто используемый материал - бархат. Доминирующие цвета кроваво красный и черный.
Clothing - Boys: камзолы, белые кружевные рубашки (с жабо и оборками на рукавах), панталоны, плащи, штаны (часто кожа или винил). Самый часто используемый материал - бархат. Доминирующий цвет - черный.
Shoes: готические остроносые ботинки или сапоги.
Украшения: иногда используются ошейники, как ни странно часто встречаются серебряные украшения, анки обязательны.
Прическа - Girls: длинные волосы распущенные или собранные в хвост часто хитро уложенные (в викторианском стиле, эпохи ренессанса), естественных цветов (черный или белый).
Прическа - Boys: длинные волосы или распущенные или собранные в хвост, естественных цветов (черный, белый), иногда выбритые виски и волосы зачесаны на одну из сторон.
Аксессуары: клыки, длинные накладные ногти. Часто цветные контактные линзы (желтый, красный, зеленый цвет или белые) иногда с кошачьей формой зрачка.
Make-up: по большей части минимальный - направленный на подчеркивание черт лица, выделение надбровных дуг. Бледный цвет лица. Губы чаще всего цвета крови.

Естественно все вышеперечисленные типы готы достаточно условны, и постоянно встречаются индивидуумы не особенно попадающие под упомянутые описания, но при этом большая часть готов все же вписывается в эту классификацию. Сейчас наиболее часто встречаются Antiquity Goths, Fetish Goth, Punk Goth и Vampyre Goth, естественно другие типы тоже присутствуют, но в менее заметных количествах.
